Congratulations to Senior Account Manager Erica Newell for being our first S9er of the Quarter for Q4 2024! Erica is always there for her colleagues and her clients. She’s consistently committed to doing great work and makes those around her better. Her organization, attention to detail and steady strategic thinking have made her stand out this quarter.

01. Describe yourself in nine words.

Curious, adaptable, authentic, reliable, intuitive, determined, motivated, passionate and sensitive.

02. What are you most proud of accomplishing in the past quarter? 

This quarter has been full of exciting opportunities. I had the privilege of contributing to a sustainability project, which not only allowed me to expand my skill set but also deepened my understanding of sustainability and corporate responsibility. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed leading the Crunch Time team through another successful harvest. Our design team excelled, creating outstanding new packaging, display concepts and billboards. It’s been especially thrilling to support SnapDragon apples as the Official Apple of the Buffalo Bills and to witness our team collaborate on such innovative and creative projects.

03. What challenges at work inspire you the most?

I am most inspired when faced with challenges that push me to explore new industries and immerse myself in understanding niche audiences and messaging. It’s interesting to dive into unfamiliar territory, uncover unique insights and craft strategies that will resonate with specific audiences. It’s a blend of discovery, learning and strategic thinking that really inspires me.

04. What do you do to relax and recharge outside of work hours?

I’ve become totally addicted to tennis and play competitively in multiple USTA leagues. I also enjoy reading, traveling and trying new restaurants with my husband.

05. What’s your go-to coffee order? 

At home, I’ll make black coffee. If I’m ordering out, I’m a sucker for any latte from Third Way Cafe.

06. What do you plan to do with your bonus or extra PTO day? 

I’ll probably spend some of my bonus on tennis gear and 2025 trips with my husband.

07. What’s your favorite Slide Nine memory? 

It’d have to be a tie between skeet shooting with a client only a month into the job or attending a fun (albeit frigid) Buffalo Bills playoff game at Highmark Stadium.

08. If you could spend nine days anywhere in the world, where would you travel? 

Probably New Zealand or Mallorca, Spain.
