The Slide Nine leadership team is thrilled to announce the promotions of Chelsea Schmitz and Chris Piedmont to Associate Vice Presidents.
“Since joining the agency, Chris and Chelsea have made innumerable contributions to our team culture and client experience. They each bring valuable skill sets and diverse experiences but share a deep sense of pride and commitment to building teams, solving problems, and delivering exceptional work. I love coming to work each day and learning from the two of them. This next chapter is going to be exciting to see up close,” says Slide Nine President and CEO, Lauren Parker.
Chelsea Schmitz joined Slide Nine in February 2021 and has been an essential member of the team ever since. She delivers an exceptional client experience to the accounts she touches and influences those around her to do their best work while lifting ideas up to their full potential.
As Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Chelsea will continue to lead and provide strategic counsel for high-potential accounts and support building and refining the agency’s account management structure. She will also take on a larger leadership role by overseeing the agency’s digital marketing services and building the martech stack for the agency.
“I am very excited to take this next step at Slide Nine. Over the last several years, I have enjoyed being part of the agency's growth and evolution. In this new role, I will have an opportunity to help drive growth for our team, both from an operations and services standpoint. I'm really looking forward to what's ahead.”
Outside of work, you can find Chelsea cheering on her favorite sports team, playing her next round of golf or keeping up with the latest reality TV shows.
Chris Piedmont has been a fully-remote member of the Slide Nine team since April 2020, playing an integral part of the hybrid work model for the agency since he joined. He is a client service extraordinaire and is a sounding board for other Slide Nine associates, mentoring them to be the best professionals they can be.
As Associate Vice President of Communications and Insights, Chris’s expanded scope of responsibilities includes working directly with our Chief Experience Officer on client service and team development opportunities, continuing to build and lead relationships with key clients while overseeing the day-to-day client experience for a number of core accounts and serving as an internal subject matter expert on corporate communications, issues/reputation management, performance analytics, media relations + coaching, community engagement, employee activation, DE(A)I and more.
Chris will continue to co-lead Slide Nine’s Performance Analytics Practice and manage the intern/graduate associate program along with helping to propel Slide Nine’s continued expansion nationally, with a focus on nurturing relationships in NYC and the Northeast.
“I’m most excited for the opportunity to continue elevating our client experience while helping clients solve tough, meaningful challenges each day — all while helping our team grow professionally and personally.”
Outside of work, you can catch Chris at a Broadway show, exploring the Big Apple, or planning his upcoming wedding.
